Q-2 Paramount

This project included the development of a new mini-storage facility. We started this project from the very beginning and helped developing plans, permitting, and the actual construction.

The Challenge

The main challenge was working through the winter months to get buildings open and ready to rent by early spring. Another challenge was working on a previous fill site with unstable soils. Lastly, visibility from Interstate 65 was a priority for the client and not straightforward to achieve.

The Solution

Wescott Construction teamed with a host of professional GEOtech engineers to help develop solutions for the build site. The limitations surrounding signage and visibility from the interstate were defied by adding another story to the office.

The Results

Wescott Construction successfully planned and constructed a 72,000 sqft climate-controlled facility.

At a Glance

  • 72,000 sqft
  • Climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled sections
  • Onsite storage for motor homes, boats, etc.

From Our Founder

“When Paramount Pickle packed their former plant, the 72,000 square foot property was purchased by a group of investor with premium properties all over the country. The transformation into a top-of-the-line storage facility meant that no expense would be spared. The relationship grew into an opportunity for Wescott to transform other properties in North Carolina and Florida. Today, a drive down Interstate 65 makes the signage at Q-2 Paramount appear effortless, but was actually the result of a pivot from the original design that added another story to the office, just to make the signage visible.”
